Dr. Jacob Lee joined RetinaCare Consultants in 2017.

Dr. Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in Southern California. He double majored in Biology and Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He received his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Lee completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and a 2 year vitreoretinal surgical retina fellowship at the University of Toronto, where he was twice selected Fellow of the Year in the Department of Ophthalmology. He practiced in Tampa, Florida, before moving to the Capital District in New York. Dr. Lee specializes in the treatment of vitreoretinal diseases including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusion, macular holes, and retinal detachments. He is dedicated to treating his patients with integrity, compassion, and up-to-date evidence-based care.

Dr. Lee enjoys hiking, basketball, snowboarding, playing viola and guitar, and reading.
